Santa in the Pines Update

I have been notified that my PDF file for Part 1 of  the Santa in the Pines pattern is 1/4" too small.  I have now revised the file and everyone that downloads it from now on will get the revised file.  If you downloaded yesterday or earlier today you will need to either enlarge your pattern or redownload the file.  Just click on the picture or click HERE and it will take you to the revised PDF.

I am really sorry about this.  Somehow that file lost weight while sitting in storage. My copies are the right size and they were printed some time ago.  I checked the original and sure enough it was too small.  So it wasn't the conversion to PDF.  I just checked it after conversion and it is still 6.5 inches as it should be. So somehow it lost size in the original drafting program.  I will make sure that the other blocks don't have this problem and will keep checking to make sure it never happens again.  I hope!!!

Keep on Quilting!!

  3. Hi, tried to post this a moment ago so I hope it doesn't double post. I am having problems with the math and lost 1/4 inch on the last seam. The block is 7 inches and the strip is 1 3/8. added together that is 8 3/8 and then if you subtract seams it is 7 7/8. If my last strip is 8 1/4 should my block then finish out at 8 1/4. Sorry to bug but I think I have done something wrong. But dearly love the santa and can't wait to cut him out.

    1. You are right!!! Don't know what's wrong with me lately. But don't sew it on yet. I noticed that I have you adding this side strip when early. You need to applique the Santa without his mustache before adding this side strip. Part of him is in the seam allowance. I will amend the file again. Sorry!!!!

    1. Can you tell me what the problem is? Some peeps have had to right click on the print option to get it to print the entire file and not just the side items. See if that works.

  5. Good Morning,
I just reprinted instructions and double checked the santa and it printed out at 6 1/4, Is this the correct measurements? Just double checking before I start drawing him out.
This is going to be a good adventure for me.

    1. That depends on when you downloaded the file. It was upgraded and may need to be re downloaded. Read my latest post.
Also check to make sure that your printer is printing at 100% and not "fit to page". It should measure 6 1/2".
